Scheduling & Fees

Before we have our first session, I would encourage you to call or email me to schedule a free consultation by phone, usually 15 minutes. This gives you a chance to discuss your situation and ask any questions to help you see how working together may be helpful. It also gives me a chance to explain our process of working together and for me to make sure that my services are in line with your expectations. After that, we can schedule your first session for either an in-person or online session. Online sessions offer the most flexibility for scheduling.

Locations:

Scottdale, GA (near Decatur, GA) is my main location. This office can be used for either individual therapy or career counseling.

Duluth, GA, is a secondary location, but it is more suitable for career counseling.

Online Video/Telephone, utilizing a HIPAA-compliant online telehealth option can offer the most flexibility for scheduling, and some clients may choose to alternate those options.

Fees:

My standard 50-minute session fee is $135, for either individual therapy, or career counseling. With Career Counseling, I do offer a Career Assessment Package which includes 3 & 1/2 sessions plus 4 career assessments for $470. With Career Counseling, additional sessions can be helpful for some circumstances, but most people just complete the basic package. In some cases, a few 30-minute accountability sessions can be helpful to continue progress after the Career Assessment Package. My 30-minute session rate is $80 and is only available after completing the Career Assessment Package.

Insurance:

For Individual Therapy, I am In-Network for the following plans: Aetna, Cigna, Oscar, United, Oxford, and Anthem/Blue Cross-Blue Sheild. Your cost would be determined through verifying your coverage to know if you have a deductible to meet, or any copays. For all other insurances, I would be considered Out-Of-Network (OON). Insurance requires that you have a formal diagnosis to have the service covered. At the beginning of our working together, we will be able to determine if there is a diagnosis and review your treatment plan moving forward. If you do not meet the criteria for a diagnosis, you have the option to continue therapy as a self-pay, out-of-pocket client. If you have an HSA/FSA account, that may be used for any therapy costs you incur. For those Out-Of-Network, if you do meet the criteria for a diagnosis, I would provide you with a “superbill”, like a receipt, which you can file with your insurance company.

If looking to use your insurance’s Out-Of-Network benefits, some things to ask your medical insurance before you start therapy:
* Does your insurance cover out-of-network mental health services?
* Is there an out-of-network deductible that must be met before insurance will pay?
* How many sessions per year are covered?
* What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
* Is a referral required from my primary care physician?
